Yenny Gerschman

Curiosity and a strong desire to make things work describe Yenny best

When Yenny walked through the doors at Sharp a little over a year ago, she quickly became a natural part of the IT organization. Talking to her, it becomes clear that her career has been shaped by a combination of technical curiosity, a drive to learn, and a strong desire to make things work, both for customers and colleagues.

Tell us about your career journey – what did you do before joining Sharp?
- My career really took off when I was 19 and started at Ericsson, working with database management. That was the beginning of more than 15 years as a consultant, moving between different companies and assignments.

During those years, Yenny worked in Handelsbanken’s equity department, where she was responsible for preparing reports for the stock exchange and took part in rolling out Windows XP across all bank branches. At Ericsson, she built a SharePoint support function and trained employees around the world, including in Canada and Australia. These experiences gave her both international insight and an understanding of how technology and people interact.

Before joining Sharp, she was Head of Service Desk at a midsized IT company, where she continued developing her leadership and her ability to create structure, confidence, and engagement within a team.

What made you apply to Sharp?
When the opportunity to become IT Service Manager at Sharp appeared, everything fell into place.

- What attracted me was the combination of IT, service, and business value. I immediately saw that Sharp is an organisation where you work closely with both management and the business, and where you can truly make an impact. The pace is high, but the culture is simple and free from prestige. I saw a chance to contribute, grow, and strengthen our IT delivery together.

A workday filled with variation and growth
As IT Service Manager, she especially enjoys that no day is ever the same.

- Every workday brings new opportunities to learn something or solve something in a smarter way. I enjoy working close to the business and using all my experience within technology, leadership, and problemsolving.

She sees Sharp’s current growth phase within IT as both inspiring and motivating.

- It feels meaningful to be part of something that is constantly being developed and improved. Working with different departments and seeing how IT contributes to the bigger picture is something I truly appreciate. It motivates me and makes me proud to support the organisation’s development.

Sharp’s IT support achieves an NPS of 75 at first contact – what’s behind that result?
Yenny sees it as the outcome of both culture and working methods.

- Reaching an NPS of 75 at first contact is the result of our strong culture. I want the team to feel confident and clear in their work so they can take responsibility. We work with established routines, clear processes, and a culture where we learn from one another. When the team feels supported—and customers meet people who truly want to help - it shows in the results.

Life outside work – and a new family member
After work, a very active home life awaits. Three months ago, the family welcomed Milou, a nineweekold cocker spaniel puppy who has quickly taken centre stage.

- Milou takes up a lot of time right now, and we love it. Besides that, we spend many evenings at football fields around Stockholm cheering for our 16yearold son who plays in an academy team.”

When time allows, Yenny enjoys unwinding with quiet moments - maybe a spa day or simply a day with no plans at all.

Team Spirit – the value that describes Yenny best
When asked which of Sharp’s five values describes her best, she doesn’t hesitate: Team Spirit.

- For me, Team Spirit is more than a word—it’s the foundation of achieving success together. I’m convinced that a motivated and tightknit team is crucial for success, which is why I focus on creating clarity, community, and security. The results we achieve are always a team effort.
